NASA examines damage of a non-critical computer due to be flown to the International Space Station aboard the space shuttle Endeavor that was quite cleared to lift off next month. NASA exposed the damage a day in front of releasing studies that the publication Aviation Week reported had found astronauts were permitted to fly on at least two occasions in spite of warnings they were so drunk they posed a flight risk. The damage to wiring in an electronics box was deliberate and obvious, NASA's associate administrator for space operations, Bill Gerstenmaier stated reporters at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

MIAMI - NASA is now replacing a permeable valve found in the cabin of the space shuttle Endeavour in front of the ships planned last week launch, the space agency said on Wednesday.
The leak was found to one of two pressure-relief valves that make sure the crew cabin does not become over-pressurized, NASA stated in a statement. A NASA orator said the valve replacement must mean no delay for the launch. NASA decided to take away and replace the faulty valve with a valve taken from space shuttle Atlantis.
