Space Shuttle Closer to Launch

The flight of Space Shuttle Atlantis to the International Space Station on assignment STS-117 has been under attack for March 15, a day previous than initially planned.

On the next space shuttle flight to carry on constructing the space station, the Atlantis group would install a new truss segment, take back a set of solar arrays and open out a new set on the starboard side of the station. Lessons learned from two earlier missions would offer the astronauts with new tips and tools to perform their duties.
